Will Goan and Joseph Peach are a Scottish duo performing trad tunes and songs on guitar, accordion and vocals. Both sailors, the pair met playing for a ceilidh on a tall ship and have been making music together since. Their playing is direct and unfiltered, led by the character and possibilities of the tunes and lyrics old and new. Their sound is wide-ranging, with clarity and depth that leave the music room to move.

They’ll soon release their debut record Talamh Bàn/Fallow Ground, recorded in an abandoned island church over the summer of 2026. The album, a collection of traditional songs and tunes inspired by and connected to the land and seascapes of Scotland’s west coast, is scheduled for release in March 2027.

Will Goan comes from Dunoon on the Firth of Clyde. Guitarist, flautist and singer, sailor and  marine scientist, he hosts the Dunoon Folk Club and leads the Mac Talla ceilidh collective.

Joseph Peach comes from Achiltibuie, a village on the border of Wester Ross and Sutherland in the North West Highlands. Accordion player, pianist, composer, tutor, recording engineer, producer, sailor and cultural policy nerd, his musical roots are firmly local, with interests extending far beyond. He’s one half of hardanger d’amore and piano duo Charlie Grey and Joseph Peach, and a member of Westward the Light.
